THE FOUR C´s
The characteristics of each diamond is defined according to:
Carat (Carat)
The weight of a diamond is expressed in carats. 1ct = 0.2 gram
Depending on the parameters of your screen, the indicated sizes are not always exact. Please check that your screen is set to 1020 pixels.
Color (Color)
Color is classified by comparing the diamonds with witness stones that serve as a standard under normalized artificial light, which is equivalent to daylight from the North. Colors are indicated only to show difference in hues.
The color scale is treated as follows according to GIA:
- D-E-F: Colorless (Colorless)
- G-H-I-J: Almost colorless (Near colorless)
- K-L-M: With small color (Faint color)
- N-R: With color (Very light color)
- S-Z: Yellow (Light color)
Purity (Clarity)
A diamond is “magnifying pure or without internal inclusions” if after being examined by an expert with a 10x magnifying glass under daylight conditions, it is considered to lack internal characteristics. Other degrees of purity are determined by size, position, gloss, and number of internal features. External characteristics and structural phenomena can be referred to as “hallmarks” or “comments”. The lowest degrees of purity on the scale (indicated by “p” for “piqué” (large or appreciable inclusions) refer to inclusions that can be seen by a color grading specialist with the naked eye.
The clarity scale according to GIA:
- FL: Maximum clarity (Flawless)
- IF: Excellent clarity (Internally flawless)
- VVs1 – VVs2: Very good clarity (Very very slightly included)
- VS1-VS2: Good clarity (Very slightly Included)
- SI1-SI2: Regular clarity (Slightly included)
- I1-I3: Bad clarity (Included)
